Lucy hosted a work party for Sea 2 Sky Capital at Lucky Strike in Lincoln Square. We had a blast!! Good food, great company!

Lincoln Rock State Park/Chelan

Lucy and Shawn invited to spend a week "camping" in September at Lincoln Rock State Park. I say "camping" because they have a RV that we refer to as the condo on wheels. We had a great time! The weather was brilliant and Kaiser LOVED his daily swims. It was so close to Chelan and I had never been, so I insisted on a day trip. Fun little town. I really enjoyed it. I definitely want to go back and spend some more time exploring.

Evergreen State Fair 2010

My brother Ryan and his youngest Cassidy came out for a visit at the end of August. Because they were in town and we lived so close to the Evergreen State Fair, we just had to take the girls. Money (Madison) and Dee Dee (Cassidy) are BFF's. They had so much fun running around and eating anything they could get their hands on. It was definitely a glimpse into the future with these two girls.

She HAD to sit with these "sheep". hahaha!

What a sweet picture! She was so brave to come all the way to Seattle from Kentucky without her Mommy, brother, or sister. We had so much fun with Dee Dee and her Daddy.

Troy's Big Day

Troy's birthday was so fun this year! We both had to work some in the morning, but we were able to cut out in time to go for a late breakfast at The Bakery in Sultan. OH MY GOSH!!! Tons of food and sooo good. I wish I had taken pictures of our meals. OH! And our doughnuts. They have all sorts of pastries and doughnuts to munch on while waiting for your food. We then drove up to Steven's Pass for a little fun in the snow. Kaiser had so much fun! He just ran around like crazy. Madison wasn't sure about it at first, but then her daddy taught her how to make a snowball and throw it at mommy...she pretty much thought that was the best thing ever! hahaha! Lucy and Shawn threw him a surprise party that night. We had a great time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST HUSBAND AND DADDY EVER!!!

German Chocolate cake is the traditional birthday cake in the Linn family. Lucy decided to try cupcakes this year. She is never doing them again. Too much trouble, but oh so cute!

Troy really wanted some cowboy boots for his birthday. Lucy got him a cowboy boot pinata. hahaha! He did get the real thing too.

Today and Always

Today is a National holiday. It's a day that we honor those that have serviced our country and fought for the freedoms that we enjoy. I am extremely grateful for those men and women.

But today and for the rest of my life Veteran's Day will have a very different meaning to me. I will remember to honor the miracle of a healthy baby. I will remember how precious life is. I will remember to hug Maddie just a little tighter. I will remember to feel gratitude for all of my blessings and my trials. I will remember Georgia Mae and the effect that her short life had on our family. I will remember Robin and Joe and their example of strength and courage. And most importantly I will remember that families are forever.
