Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving this year was a series of events. Which I loved because it happens to be my favorite holiday.
Thursday we had an amazing dinner at my parents house. Tons of people, tons of food. Madison had a great time playing with Noah. It's really fun for her to have him around to play with. Well really she mostly just follows him around. And he is so sweet to her. It's pretty cute.

Friday night was Noah's Birthday party and our annual Gingerbread party. I love making gingerbread houses. So fun!! Plus the candy is always great. Mad and Noah were glued at the hip as usual. Bailey and Felicia were at the party as well. Bailey was so cute with Mad. She has been waiting a long long time for Madison to be old enough to play. It was so fun to watch her play and interact with the "big" kids.

Saturday was our final Thanksgiving event. Lucy hosted an amazing feast! I didn't get any pictures for two reasons. One Madison had not had a nap and needed some extra attention. Two I just plain forgot. But honestly it was a great night and I couldn't have asked for a better ending for my favorite holiday.

Skate America 2010

I've loved figure skating for as long as I can remember. I love it because my mom loves it. She grew up skating and even trained in the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs, CO. Whenever we are able to go to the ISU figure skating competitions. We've been to Halifax, St. John's, Washington D.C., Calgary, and Colorado Springs (to name a few) to attend. This year Skate America we were able to attend Skate America in Portland.

Carolina Kostner of Italy happens to be Cassidy's favorite skater, so naturally I had to take several pictures of her for Miss Dee Dee.

Troy has several cousins that live in the Portland area. We were able to meet up for lunch. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up, but to be completely honest, I loved seeing Kaiden. She is getting so BIG!! And she is such a toddler now. No more Baby Kaiden...kind of sad.

Kaiden and Aunt Elle

I'm going to be real honest with you right now. I enjoy watching skating, but the real reason that I love going on these skating trips is the food! We went to a restaurant in NE Portland called Papa Haydn. HOLY CRAP! Dessert central. I'm not even kidding, there were at least 40 desserts on the menu. AMAZING!!

My fellow dessert eaters...

Arden and Eva

Nick J

Annie and Me

My Banana Cream Pie

Mom's Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake

Annie's Chocolate Cube

Nick wouldn't wait to let me take a picture of his dessert. He had Neapolitan. It was strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream with yellow cake.

Annie had a hard time figuring out how to eat hers...hahaha!

Making Halloween Cookies with Granny Eva

When I was a little girl I used to make Halloween cookies with my friend JulieAnne , her sister Christina, and their mom Sandy. I loved every second of it. We would always make these owl cookies. They were really fun to make and sooo good. I've been wanting to start up the tradition again, but I didn't have the recipe for the owl cookies and it just didn't seem right to do it without those cookies. Well recently my mom was able to get the recipe from Sandy and we made them! They were just as good as I remember. Here's to another family tradition!

Mia's Having a Baby!

Eva and I threw my friend Mia a baby shower in October. The only pictures I took were of the dessert table. Can you tell where my priorities are these days? ha!

Mia's husband Brent designed these labels for the water bottles. He is so creative.

I made these cupcakes and wanted to do something different to decorate them. I thought they turned out so cute. Unfortunately I put the "a" in baby on backwards, but well you win some, you lose some...

First Pumpkin Patch

We took Madison to her first pumpkin patch. Granny Lucy and Greg tagged along. We went to Carlton Farms in Lake Stevens. It was so fun. There was tons of pumpkins to choose from, a corn maze, a tractor ride, and a pumpkin cannon. I think going every year will become a Linn Family tradition.
Madison and Granny Lucy

I swear I had bought these jeans two weeks before and they were too long! Now look. Total high waters! haha!

What a big helper!

I adore this picture. So fun and I love the expression on Mad's face.

Best shot we could get. ha!

The pumpkin cannon. Troy actually got the pumpkin into the river. We could see this huge splash!

Sea 2 Sky Capital Bowling Party

Lucy hosted a work party for Sea 2 Sky Capital at Lucky Strike in Lincoln Square. We had a blast!! Good food, great company!
Getting bowling tips from Uncle Greg.

Heavy ball!

How cute are those shoes?!

My turn yet?

Finally!

STRIKE!!!
