The Beginnings of Our Nursery

This week we got our crib off Craig's List. I've been searching Craig's List for a couple of weeks now for a crib and changing table. I had a couple of great deals that got snatched out from under me, but honestly I'm so glad that we got the crib that we did. I love it. Especially after today because Troy totally rearrange our office/guest room to become our office/guest room/nursery and even set up the crib. Its adorable. Plus my parents bought it for us, so not only did I find a great deal for them but we got just what we wanted. I'm still on the hunt for a changing table, but I know the perfect one will come my way.

Lucy and I did a little shopping today too. She is going to make a couple of quilts, a dust ruffle, and a valance. She said that all I had to buy was the sheets. No problem there. Target has great stuff for so cheap and they all match. I was so glad when she offered to do this for us because I just hadn't found anything out there that I really loved. I'm so excited now because I absolutely love what we picked out today plus I know she will do an amazing job. Maddie is so lucky to have such a talent Grandma.

I'll post more pictures once the quilts and everything is made. I'm so excited!!!

What a great gift!

My sister in law Tiffany is so talented! She is always making the cutest scrapbook pages, calendars, baby announcements, and Christmas cards. I made her promise a long time ago that she would scrapbook for me and make all of my Christmas cards.

This Christmas we decided that because we are all broke and not spending the holiday together that we would skip out on presents for each other. Well about a week before Christmas a package shows up in the mail. She had made us a book of our wedding! She thinks she is so tricky because it didn't cost her a dime. She had a coupon for a free book from Shutterfly. The book is great because it is such a wonderful reminder of our wedding day. But we really love it because Tiffany made it for us and put so much time and energy into making us such an amazing gift.

Check out our wedding book that she put together for us! I only picked out a few of the pages to share.

My Niece Lacey!

Lacey Carter Gremmert has always been entertaining. She is so funny! She just says whatever pops into her head. She loves making people laugh. Lacey is so loving and kind. She is sweet and sassy. I love that you never know what you are going to get with Lacey. She has started calling me every once in awhile just to chat. She's 4. ha! Here are some of my favorite pictures of Lacey Lou Cutie Pie Pie (Yes she nicknamed herself)...

Not so innocent...

Troy and I went to Whistler last week with his family. They have gone every year since 1981 so its a pretty big tradition for them. We had a great time. Everyone skied but me. Being pregnant and klutzy don't really go well with skiing. So I shopped, ate tons of great food, and watched movies...I'm not complaining. Of course I took my camera up there with me. And of course I didn't take any pictures! What can I say, I'm not a mom yet. haha!

Unfortunately we couldn't bring Kaiser with us. The condo we stayed in was not pet friendly. There is a great place in Duvall that boards for really cheap and he loves playing with all the dogs that live there, so we felt pretty good about leaving him behind. The woman that runs the place is also a breeder. Lucy and Shawn got their puppies Abby and Callie from her. Well one of her female dogs was in heat the week that Kaiser stayed there and because he was neutered a few months back, he got to be out with all the girls. Usually the boys and girls are kept separate to avoid unwanted litters, but Kaiser isn't a threat in that way so he was free to mingle. And mingle he did. He had a great time getting to know Marilyn (the dog in heat) on a more intimate level. Is it weird that I'm a little sad that my dog is no longer innocent?
