I WAS ON THE RADIO!!!!

After my candy was on The Rachael Ray Show, we had a few other media outlets contact us about interviews and such. I got a call from the radio show Chat with Women on KKNW AM 1150 and agreed to go on their show. It was so fun! They are hilarious and so easy to talk to. Camping 2010

So far this summer we have gone on two camping trips and Madison has loved every second of them! We went over to Potholes Reservoir in Eastern Washington with Lucy and Shawn. It was gorgeous! Lots of plush green grass, great swimming, and wonderful warm weather! Just the kind of camping I am cut out for. Granny and Grandpa bought Madison a little inflatable pool and had it all set up before we got there. She had a blast. The dogs used it as a water dish and so did Mad. It was gross and hilarious to see them all drink out of it at the same time. hahaha!

We also went to Tinkham campground just east of North Bend. Madison loved sitting by the fire in the camp chairs, eating hot dogs and smores, and staying late. Unfortunately she did not love how cold it was in the middle of the night and decided that 3 am was a really good time to be awake for the day. My next purchase, you ask? One of those baby sleeping suit things. Yeah not doing that again. In Eastern Washington, it is so hot at night that you don't need to worry about it getting too cold for little ones. In the mountains of Western Washington, you do. Oh well. You live and learn, right?

She was actually really good at staying away from the fire. But we still watched her like a hawk.

Woody turns SIXTY western style!!!

A few weeks ago we went to Portland to celebrate Troy's uncle Woody's 60th Birthday. It was such a great weekend. So fun to catch up with most of the family and spend so much time together. We took tons of pictures of course. Here are a few...well a few in Karen land. haha!

Woody had some old pictures that we decided to take digital copies of. This one is of Troy's Dad, his siblings, Mom and Stepdad. Troy's dad, Greg, is the little guy in front.

I love this picture! Troy is sporting Lucy's glasses. What a goof!

We all wore names tags at the party. Pretty typical at affairs such as this. Only this family likes to point out that they are the favorite uncle, cousin, nephew, etc. It's pretty fun. I wrote that Madison was Woody's Great Niece. Troy crossed out Great and wrote Pretty Good. hahaha!

I love this picture of Madison and Kaiden. I just love how Kaiden is looking at Maddie. It's a glimpse into the future I think.

I loved this part of the evening. Everyone wrote little known facts about Woody on the chalkboard. Some were hilarious, some were sweet. It was really fun.

This is where the party was held. It is called The Kennedy School. It was an elementary school that has been converted to a hotel, bar, restaurants, a movie theater, soaking pool, etc. We actually stayed here. So fun, so much to do.

This is in the movie theater. Every week a woman that works in the kitchen does there chalk drawings of the movie posters for the movies showing in the theater. They are amazing.

I know it's hard to read, so I'll tell you what it says. "Dear Lois, Your Father is a butcher. Your mother cuts the meat. And you are the little wiener, that runs around the street." hahahaha!

It was a great night!
