Maddie's First Road Trip

Memorial Day weekend marked a lot of firsts for Madison. Her first road trip. Her first wedding. Her first Sonic experience. Her first trip to Mt. Hood. As well as meeting a whole bunch of Troy's cousins and his Uncle Woody. We had a great time! Troy's brother Greg came along with us. He was a great help with Maddie and had us laughing the whole weekend.

Madison loves to ride in her car seat. This was the rare time that she was awake on the drive to Mt. Hood.

Kaiser, of course, had to have his picture taken too. And he wants everyone to know that he loves to ride in the truck too.

Greg, Maddie and Me in front of some lodge that is in the movie "The Shining". Troy was completely disgusted that no one in his truck had seen the movie but him. He had to call Amy in Texas just to get someone to think it was cool that we were where the movie was shot.

This wedding was GORGEOUS! It was the most beautiful setting. Troy's friend Chris got married. They have been friends since preschool.

I keep getting comments about all of Madison's pictures being taken with her eyes shut. Well she was awake today for awhile and I actually got a couple of good ones. Plus she's wearing an outfit she got from her Aunt Tiffy and I just thought she was too cute today.

Maddie loves just hanging out in her crib! ha! Not really. Seriously I can only get her to sleep in it at night. During the day she expects to be held. It's like she thinks that because she sleeps alone at night for so long that daytime is the time to make up for it.

This is Kaiser's favorite spot these days. If I'm looking for him, I'll go into the nursery and find him there. He is so protective of his baby. Yep, that's what I call her. His baby. If she is crying he comes running. Even from the backyard. And if I'm not right there to comfort her, he comes to get me. We really should start calling him Lassie. He always wants to be where she is and is so interested in anything I am doing with her. He loves her bath time because we are at his eye level and he can look over my shoulder. He's a funny dog!

We made it a month...

Maddie is a month old today! I can't believe that we are here already. Time flies. She weighs 9 lbs 9 oz. I have no idea how long she is now. I know she is way longer. I can't believe how much she has grown!

Where have the last three weeks gone?

I'm a few days late but Maddie is now three weeks old. She weighs 8lbs 14oz. She has gained almost 2 lbs in 2 weeks. Pretty impressive, huh? She has already grown out of all her newborn clothes, which was a little sad for me. I just can't believe how fast she is growing! She is so sweet and hardly ever really cries. She loves to be snuggled which her daddy loves. I swear sometimes they could careless if I was around. haha! Here are a couple of pictures that we took last night. She got all dressed up for her Grandpa's birthday party, so we had to get a couple of shots. Oh check out her first pair of shoes. I know they are completely unnecessary, but how cute are they?!? I'm a little jealous of all her clothes.

Happy Birthday Kaiser!

Today is Kaiser's 1st Birthday. We have spent the day trying to explain to him that he is no longer a puppy and has to be a mature dog now, but I really don't think that he gets it. I keep singing "Happy Birthday" to him and he just stares at me like I'm crazy. To celebrate his big day we are getting him a dog cake and a stuffed animal as a present. He loves to destroy stuffed animals. Here are a few pictures of him from the last year...

Madison Marie Linn

She is finally here!!! She was born at 11:20 pm on Monday April 13th. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19.5 inches long. And she has BLACK hair. Crazy I know considering how light Troy and I both are. I'm sure it will all fall out and come back blonde, but I secretly hope that it stays and she gets to have gorgeous jet black hair. I always wanted black hair.

Here is the first picture we took of her after she was all cleaned up. It was taken Tuesday morning and she has already changed so much. I can't believe how much I love her already.
