Woody turns SIXTY western style!!!

A few weeks ago we went to Portland to celebrate Troy's uncle Woody's 60th Birthday. It was such a great weekend. So fun to catch up with most of the family and spend so much time together. We took tons of pictures of course. Here are a few...well a few in Karen land. haha!
Woody had some old pictures that we decided to take digital copies of. This one is of Troy's Dad, his siblings, Mom and Stepdad. Troy's dad, Greg, is the little guy in front.
I love this picture! Troy is sporting Lucy's glasses. What a goof!

Tanis and Miss Kaiden. Tanis is Woody's daughter and Kaiden belongs to the couple in the picture below.

Troy's cousin Dani and her husband Levi

I love this picture of Greg. Troy is trying to act like he has a chew in. Gross.

Greg thought it was a fun idea too. Nerds.

We all wore names tags at the party. Pretty typical at affairs such as this. Only this family likes to point out that they are the favorite uncle, cousin, nephew, etc. It's pretty fun. I wrote that Madison was Woody's Great Niece. Troy crossed out Great and wrote Pretty Good. hahaha!

Mad was really into giving Kaiden loves...

Sometimes she was a little to intense for Kaiden's taste.

I love this picture of Madison and Kaiden. I just love how Kaiden is looking at Maddie. It's a glimpse into the future I think.

What a big girl!

Let the dancing begin!

Auntie Dianna!! Woody's younger sister.

Woody and his Amy.

Sometimes his facial expressions in pictures remind me of Beavis and Butthead.

Woody and Tanis

Woody, his favorite sister in law and her husband. Lucy loves to be known as the favorite. In fact, I believe she started the family tradition.

Jeramie and Kaiden. Jeramie is married to Troy's cousin Rian. I happen to think she is one of the most adorable people I have ever met.

Rian, Jer, and Woody

Kaiden and her Grammy!

I loved this part of the evening. Everyone wrote little known facts about Woody on the chalkboard. Some were hilarious, some were sweet. It was really fun.

Cake time!!

Madison loved that her Granny was in charge of handing out the cake. She got her piece real quick!

More dancing!

This is where the party was held. It is called The Kennedy School. It was an elementary school that has been converted to a hotel, bar, restaurants, a movie theater, soaking pool, etc. We actually stayed here. So fun, so much to do.

Another Beavis and Butthead moment caught on tape.

This is in the movie theater. Every week a woman that works in the kitchen does there chalk drawings of the movie posters for the movies showing in the theater. They are amazing.

I know it's hard to read, so I'll tell you what it says. "Dear Lois, Your Father is a butcher. Your mother cuts the meat. And you are the little wiener, that runs around the street." hahahaha!
It was a great night!

Ireland 2010 - The rest of the trip

I'm sorry that my posts stopped as soon as Troy arrived in Ireland. Two things happened. One I had someone to hang out with at night while Madison was sleeping and two the reunion started. The O'Docharitaigh (O'Doherty) reunion takes place every five years in Ireland on the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal. My mom is the reunion coordinator. So needless to say, the rest of my family spends a lot of time helping out during the 10 day reunion. We had a great time. Meeting tons of new Doherty connections and seeing some great sights. Troy, Madison, and I went to Dublin for a few days to visit Maddie's Godmother Niamh. It was so fun to explore the city and spend some time with Niamh. Madison also discovered her love of Irish music and dancing. ha! She is riot! I have a ton of pictures that will follow in the next post. I hope you enjoy!
