Ireland 2010 - The rest of the trip

I'm sorry that my posts stopped as soon as Troy arrived in Ireland. Two things happened. One I had someone to hang out with at night while Madison was sleeping and two the reunion started. The O'Docharitaigh (O'Doherty) reunion takes place every five years in Ireland on the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal. My mom is the reunion coordinator. So needless to say, the rest of my family spends a lot of time helping out during the 10 day reunion. We had a great time. Meeting tons of new Doherty connections and seeing some great sights. Troy, Madison, and I went to Dublin for a few days to visit Maddie's Godmother Niamh. It was so fun to explore the city and spend some time with Niamh. Madison also discovered her love of Irish music and dancing. ha! She is riot! I have a ton of pictures that will follow in the next post. I hope you enjoy!

Ireland 2010 - Day 9

Today was a lovely relaxing day. Sorry no pictures folks. That is how relaxing it was. Niamh and Colm came down from Derry for a visit. We went for lunch and then to see Niamh's Granda John the Saddler. Then my mom let me take an amazing nap on the couch while she ran around after Madison. The reunion starts in two days so we are preparing for that and for the arrival of my dad and TROY!!!!!!!! I am beyond excited for him to finally get here.

Ireland 2010 - Day 8

Today I got to see my friend Michael!!! We met when we worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL TEN YEARS AGO!! Where has the time gone? We decided to meet up in Derry for lunch and a bit of shopping. We had a great time catching up. We then went to Fagan's for dinner. I have to say I love going to Paul and Fiona's for dinner. Paul makes the most amazing dinners. I would post the picture I took of my meal, but I don't want to make you all jealous.
