DD's Ice Skating Birthday PARTAY!!!

First I need to start with an explanation. I have 4 cousins that are brothers and the age gap is only 6 years from oldest to youngest. We call them the little boys (yes they are ranging from 23 to 17 now, but we still call them that. Whatever.). I'm not sure why it has stuck, although I understand how it got started because now we have the little girls. Madi and DD. So from here on out if you read the little girls just know that is in reference to Madison and DD. Thanks.

Now on to the point of this blog post. Madi and I got to go to KENTUCKY for DD'S BIRTHDAY!!!!! Granny Eva invited us to go along with her and celebrate. My mom tries to go out for each kids birthday. Good thing Ryan is a pilot and parents of pilots still get flight benefits... Anyway we had a great trip. I definitely think the highlight of the trip for the kids was ICE SKATING!!! They love it. Granny got the girls cute little skating outfits. They were so cute!! Madi and DD were so excited to "skate". DD wants to be Carolina Kostner when she grows up. She is going to skate so fast. Just ask her. hahaha!

Madi, Maddie, Mady, or Maddy

Troy and I would like to formally announce that we are going with the Madi spelling of Madi (ha!). Not that there needs to be a formal announce, but I am in a blogging mood so you got one. So there.

First Haircut!

About a month ago we decided Madison needed a haircut. Bad. It was a Sunday and her scraggly(sp?) ponytail was driving me nuts! Troy offered to chop off an inch or so. I jumped on it. It made a world of difference. Her hair is a cute little bob now. Adorable.

What? We are multi-taskers. Brush teeth and get your hair cut at once. Save time.

After a bath, I hear...

I Cowwd!
I'M OBSESSED!!!
(And both are available at Costco)

Madison and her DD

When I found out that I was having a baby girl, I sent out a quick email to Ryan and Tiffany to let them know. Tiff responded almost right away saying that Lacey was so excited, Aidan was a little disappointed (he REALLY wanted another boy in the family), and Cassidy knew all along. Not long after that Tiffany and I were talking about our little girls growing up together, being best friends, college roommates, etc. Little did we know that we were predicting the future. These two girls have such a special relationship. Anytime I tell Madison that she has friends coming over she looks at me with a big grin and says "DD?". They are so cute together. I really love seeing such a close friendship blossoming so early in life!
